Experience in Libya
Our stratigraphers have a wealth of experience in Libya, having during the course of their industrial careers analysed some 200 Libyan wells with sections ranging in age from Cambrian to Neogene. We have extensive experience in the Cretaceous and Tertiary stratigraphy of the Sirt Basin, Tripolitania and offshore Benghazi. In addition, our stratigraphers have substantial experience in the palynostratigraphy of the Nubian Sandstone and the Palaeozoic successions of the Ghadames and Murzuq Basins, including the Ordovician Hawaz, Melez Shuqran and Mamuniyat Formations and the Silurian of the northern Ghadames (Acacus Formation). We have experience of wellsite biomonitoring offshore Benghazi on an H2S prone wildcat (a 9 week offshore assignment).
