Jonathan Castle

Company Administrator and Secretary

Jonathan joined the company in May 2007 following 13 years of business management in general medical practices and, prior to that, 18½ years commissioned service in the Army (he attained the rank of Major and served variously in England, Ireland, Germany, Cyprus, Canada, and Belize). His wide ranging administrative and management skills make him an invaluable member of our Business Support Team which he has helped to expand and develop and now heads. He is also the Company Secretary.

Lisa Garner

Commercial and Systems Administration Manager

Lisa joined the company in July 2008, bringing 10 years’ experience in administration and accounting to the post and providing essential administrative support to the company. In January 2013, she successfully applied to move into the revised and reformed Project Management Coordination Team where she now leads on the non-technical aspects of multiple projects management. She also continues with her important roles relating to the maintenance of our ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 certification. In these fields she provides the focus, coordination, and audit review cycle responsibilities for all the documentation and registers that form the ongoing process of accreditation to those International Standards.

Kevin Field

General Manager

Kevin was appointed to the newly created post of General Manager in December 2017. Previously he was the company’s IT Manager since 2014. As the General Manager he is directly responsible to the Managing Director and Board of Directors for the successful management of all the day to day operational tasks and works closely with managers across the business to drive efficiency and improve communications. He also leads on the constant improvement of PetroStrat’s processes and procedures across all areas of the business.

In addition to his General Manager role he continues to lead us in the development of new IT systems and their management, including network security; and has been key to assisting the company progress in a wide range of IT and project management related areas.

Liz Pendleton

Business Support Logistical Coordinator

Liz joined the Business Support Team at PetroStrat in March 2011. Through in-house career development and after gaining much knowledge and experience, Liz moved to the post of Assistant Administrator in January 2013.  Most  recently, in October 2018, the many and varied additional responsibilities that Liz has subsequently taken on led to a change of job title, that being Business Support Logistical Coordinator.  This far better describes her even wider range of responsibilities, central to which are those of “company travel agent”,  and coordinator for expenses, visa and passport applications, all staff company training requirements, and much more besides.

Golrokh Sepasdar
M.A. Ph.D.
Clerical Assistant – Archivist

Golrokh gained an MA in Art History at Isfahan Art University in 2001 and a Ph.D. in Urban Studies at Liverpool University in 2010. Having gained a wide range of experience and knowledge, working in several companies across the region, she joined PetroStrat at the start of December 2013, a particularly busy time, and has become an integral member of our business support team.  She provides a wide range of clerical skills, assists with the coordination of a range of training events, and is developing the role of Archivist.

Lilian Jones

Financial Assistant

Lilian joined PetroStrat in February 2015 and works closely with the Managing Director, running the day to day input to the company accounts and purchase ledger.

Barry Ringer

Business Development Adviser

Barry joined PetroStrat in October 2017 Following 5 years working in the field, including 2 as a wellsite geologist in Japan, Barry has spent 40 years in general, regional, operations and marketing management positions working for leading oil industry geoscience companies, including 25 years with former Robertson Research (now CGG Robertson). His overseas career in geoscience management included 8 years in North America, 9 years in South East Asia, and 6 years in the Middle East.

The overseas postings as Regional Manager helped refine the inter-personal skills needed to be successful in developing and winning new business in different cultures. In his career, Barry has also successfully developed and marketed a number of profitable multi-disciplinary and thematic regional non-proprietary studies around the world, including in the Former Soviet Union (FSU), Eastern Europe, Australia, the Caribbean and Latin America. Barry is a former Board member of the Emirates Society of Geoscientists (ESG) and as an active AAPG member, has sat on sub-committees and co-chaired sessions for IPTC conferences in Dubai and Bangkok.
