We are thrilled to announce Petrostrat’s attendance at the CO2 Storage Conference 2024, which will be held at the Chester Hotel in Aberdeen on October 1-2, 2024. With over 20 years of experience characterising the subsurface, we are a leading provider of integrated geological services and are committed to supporting our clients in driving the global energy transition.
The CO2 Storage Conference provides a venue for industry experts, researchers, and policymakers to engage in discussions regarding the latest developments in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology. Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is the process of capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from a variety of sources, and then indefinitely storing (or sequestering) the captured CO2 within the subsurface. By capturing CO2 from industrial processes we can reduce harmful emissions entering the atmosphere today. Through Direct Air Capture (DAC) we have the capability to remove legacy emissions and help get the Net Zero 2050 global temperature rise target back on track.
We look forward to seeing you at Stand 3!
PetroStrat is committed to advancing energy transition initiatives, including Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage (CCUS), to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable energy and industrial practices. Our expertise and understanding in advanced geological subsurface analysis and evaluation can support industry’s challenges in capturing CO2 emissions and storing it permanently underground, addressing both current and legacy emissions, and aligning with global Net Zero goals by 2050.
Our solutions to the CCS industry
PetroStrat have been actively involved in several, recent CCUS projects in UK, Norway, and Gulf of Mexico.
Selecting the ‘right’ site for subsurface CO2 storage is a key element within the industrial CCS workflow, requiring detailed and accurate subsurface characterisation. PetroStrat delivers a comprehensive range of geologically-based solutions, including biostratigraphy and sedimentology, petrography, image log analysis and reservoir characterisation, essential for subsurface storage modelling. Our flexible, client-orientated workflows are tailored specific to address questions critical decisions during the many phases in the life cycle of carbon capture projects. By employing these techniques, we help our clients de-risk their prospective CCS sites allowing them to more confidently move ahead with their development programmes.
