We are delighted to announce that will be exhibiting and presenting at the SEG | AAPG International Meeting for Applied Geoscience & Energy (IMAGE) 2023 in Houston, from 28th – 31st August at the George R. Brown Convention Centre. You can find us in the main hall right by the Poster Sessions at Booth #1646, where we’ll be showcasing our latest integrated geoscience solutions.
We will also be raffling a Orthoceras fossil and giving away little pouches of shark teeth fossils (while stocks last). Do feel free to stop by for a chat, hear about how our specialist biostratigraphy and sedimentology services can assist with your exploration and development needs and, of course, to drop a business card into the bowl for your chance to win the raffle prize (draw to take place Thursday 31st August).
If you’re not attending the conference but would like to pop in for a day or pop out the office during your lunch break for a change of scenery, we have guest passes available that we can send to you. Please reach out to Thomas Demchuk who will be happy to send you a code so you can register for free for a day pass and set up a meeting to talk with us.
Presenting in Technical Program
We are also excited for our participation in the Technical Program at this year’s IMAGE ’23 event. Paul Cornick, our Managing Director, will present a collaborative study focusing on the correlation of wells within the Gulf of Mexico. This study employs an integrated multidisciplinary approach, combining biostratigraphy and chemostratigraphy, to give a better understanding of the stratigraphy and provide greater confidence in identifying significant Wilcox surfaces – leading to more robust interpretations and subsurface models.

Sharing our knowledge in a team-taught course
PetroStrat is pleased to be one of the hosts of the “How to Lead in Deepwater Exploration and Production” short course. This is a newly developed team-taught course designed to help participants become better leaders in the exploration and production business.
This course focuses on:
- Subsurface interpretation and deepwater sedimentary basin analysis
- The role of engineering and technology in delivering offshore exploration and production projects
- The value of effective team building
- The key role that the explorer’s mindset plays in defining new energy provinces
