Key points

  • Technically consistent, regionally correlatable Ichron Sequences assigned from first returns to TD in every well
  • 24 wells newly added to the NSD
  • Ichron Sequence interpretations were made alongside review of datasets in UK and Danish sector CNS triple-junction wells
Central Graben Feda Graben Stratigraphic Database Map

The Central Graben (Feda Graben) Stratigraphic Database comprises of a 24 well dataset that incorporates the key stratigraphic reference wells from the area that cumulatively range over the Tertiary, Cretaceous, Jurassic, Triassic, Permian, Carboniferous and Devonian. This study also provides a valuable offset well reference database for linking with both the UKCS and the Danish licence areas which can be incorporated on a proprietary basis. The database clearly demonstrates the stratigraphic complexity in the area and utilises the Ichron sequences which are calibrated with the North Sea lithostratigraphic nomenclature and also incorporates the Norlex terminology.

Deliverables

  • Stratigraphic framework and zonation scheme.
  • Local lithostratigraphic scheme applied to all wells.
  • Stratigraphic summary chart for each of the 24 wells including age, lithostratigraphy, sample data points and biostratigraphical marker events, all set against the wireline/MWD logs.
  • Correlation panels highlighting regional thickness trends, stratigraphic breaks and hiatal surfaces within the context of the regional structural elements.
  • Tabulated stratigraphic sequence depths for each individual well.
  • ODM deliverable.
  • Digital data export of stratigraphic sequences and lithostratigraphic boundaries.
